At Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp stands the BSH Inspiration House: a Cradle-to-Cradle icon that functions as an office, experience centre and meeting place for Bosch, Siemens, NEFF and Gaggenau.
The building, designed by William McDonough + Partners in collaboration with N3O and realised by Delta Development in partnership with VolkerWessels and Reggeborgh Vastgoed, was built in accordance with strict C2C principles: all materials are non-toxic, reusable and traceable through material passports.
A bright four-storey atrium, green living wall and glass roof with integrated solar panels forms the heart of the building. This central space connects flexible workplaces, showrooms, an auditorium and a cooking studio, set up for interaction and inspiration.
The design follows the Design for Disassembly principle: fully demountable and prepared for future adaptation. BIPV panels on the roof provide much of the required energy. A grey water system, natural ventilation and circular floors (via the Product-as-a-Service model) make the building sustainable and adaptive.
BSH Inspiration House achieved BREEAM-NL 'Good' certification. Since commissioning, the number of spontaneous job applications grew by 126%, and internal email traffic fell by over 25%, a testament to the connecting power of the environment.
Construction was carried out by IBB Kondor.
Connecting. Vibrant. Circular.
BSH Inspiration House is more than a building: it is a living ecosystem where sustainability, brand experience and human interaction come together.
